Chicago Oath Ceremony Timing?

I'm taking the oath in Chicago soon. My letter says to arrive at 9am. What time will I actually walk out and take the oath if I'm to be there at 9am? My husband can only leave work for a short time and I don't want him to have to be there at 9 also if I don't walk out for 45 min. Any clues?

i'm searching for an answer to this online and haven't found a definite one, but it seems like if i have to arrive at 9, the ceremony itself probably starts at 10 and is probably done by 11? does that sound right?

I would go through the July, August, September and October Filers threads and look for other people who have filed in Chicago. Then I would message them personally and ask them. Often, once people do their oath, their visits to VJ drop of completely so you may not have a big audience seeing this. But private messages often are forwarded to general email inboxes, so you should be able to reach someone.

I just read a post for houston that said

It depends on your venue for sure. In Houston, 2000 new citizens give or take 500. Check-in starts 7 am and ceremony at 10 am. We didn't leave until about 11:30 because all those thousand new citizens have to go through check out to get their certificates. Quite a bit different than the other one described in this thread

So you don't really know for sure. He won't be permitted to take a personal day? Or morning? This is a big occasion for you, he should try everything to be there.
