anyone who got had an interview at the embassy in manila philippines can share what type of questions they asked? So I can help my fiance more prepared.

any advice in general would be appreciated too! thanks!

common question for k1 visa in PI is this

How long have you known each other?

When did you meet in person?

How did you meet your fiance?

When was the last time you met your fiance? Where?

When did your fiance propose? Where?

What do you love about your fiance?

When are you going to travel to the US?

Have you applied US Visa before? When? Where? What type of visa?

What is your birthday?

What is your fiance's birthday?

How old is your fiance?

Where was your fiance born?

What does your fiance do for living?

What is your fiance's designation at work?

Have you ever been married?

Does your fiance have any brothers and sisters?

Where does your fiance live?

Where do your fiance's parents live?

What are your fiance's parents' names? Brothers and sisters?

Do you have any brothers and sisters?

Have your fiance been married before?

What do your parents think about this engagement? Do they approve of it?

How does your fiance's family feel about the marriage? Have you met them?

What are your fiance's hobbies/interests? Yours?

What do you like to do together?

Will you and your fiance have children? What are your plans for the future?

Do you feel that your religious/cultural differences will affect you?

How do you communicate with your fiance?

Why do you want to come to the U.S? What would you like to do here?

When and where are you going to have the wedding?

How much time have you spent together?

How do your families feel about your plans to get married?

Did you make a formal announcement of your engagement to family and friends?

Did you have an engagement party?

Distance never separates two hearts that really care, for our memories span the miles and in seconds we are there. But whenever I start feeling sad, because I miss you, I remind myself how lucky I am to have someone so special to miss .i love you baby"

It was hell. Others around my time had it even worse, and the Guayaquil consulate's monkeyshines have continued, although apparently not as consistently.
I can't even begin to imagine the nightmare...
I wouldn't wish the nightmare on anybody, no man. See these two threads for just how bad things were and can be:

Thanks. Mrs. T-B. just went through naturalization -- see the serious thread in K-1 Case Filing & Progress and the funny thread in the Off Topic forum.

In a Stokes interview, if your respective answers (whatever they are) don't match, you're hosed.

Thanks for sharing all this. I hesitated to read it because I am freaked out already, and I didn't want to be more freaked out (then my fiancé has to deal with my stress, which he doesn't like too much from this far because he feels he can't do anything. I am pretty sure he is stressed too, he just doesn't want to admit it. And I don't want to add to that).

But I finally read it, I can't believe what you went through. Thank you so much for sharing. Yes it shows it can be so bad, but it also shows there is a way out! So thank you!

I will check with french people if I should tell my fiancé to plan a new holiday to France for when I have my interview (we wanted to spare that money though... cause with my moving, new appartment to furnish, me not working yet and our recent travels, it would be nice to save a little money... And CO should understand that, but as your journey demonstrates, things are not always going as they should)

Good luck in your visa journey!
