NVC says one form received the other is "missing"...

Hi Guys,

Sorry, need to vent. We got a checklist via email stating they have reviewed the DS-230 form and that the AOS form has not been received.

We sent both around the same time, and have had it confirmed as delivered.

When I called yesterday they advised me that they are reviewing the "forms" and when I called now they are stating the AOS form is probably in the mailroom... Funny, I spoke to the same guy. Can this be right? I left a request for a supervisor to call me back since I don't believe what I was misinformed on the phone yesterday. It's been about 10 business days and no case complete. Argh...

I'm guessing you sent in the DS-230 a little bit before the AOS? They just haven't gotten to your AOS yet.

Yesterday I got a false checklist for my DS-230 packet, today I got my case complete.

Just continue to call everyday to check on the AOS.

What you received is called a "false checklist" here on VJ. What happens is this: an officer reviews one package and if it's accepted, they frequently, without checking if the other package is in the building, issue a "checklist" for the other package. So don't worry, your package is in the building, it just hasn't made its way to a reviewing officer. If you sent them around the same time though, you should hear any day now of your other package being accepted. Just be patient and call every day to inquire about your case status. You're nearly at the end!!

I sent the AOS form a few days before the DS-230. Hopefully they just crossed in the mail.

Same things happens to our family here today. We are received the email checklist states that they are missing ds230 part 2 swom statements for all applicants in the family. I contact the lawyer our office handles our case they said they already submit it when they submitted the ds230 . I was told they will contact nvc to prove that they submit the package by mail when they submit the ds230 part 1 . I hope everything went well
