Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

yup...as they mentioned above...most of us did it without any lawyer/attorney. And we did fine. :) Just read through here after you read the formal instructions of the forms...that's how I did mine too. Nothing was missing, no RFE, nothing. Did is a really good site, but first you definitely want to read the formal instructions that go with the forms. Good luck!

Unless you have a very complicated case I would not be worried to do it yourself. I did mine and is going fine. My friend did through a lawyer and she showed me what the lawyer asked for her and was pretty much a really long form asking the same questions they ask on those forms I-130, I-485, I-765 etc.... the only thing he does was to transfer her answers into the actual forms, collect their supporting documentsand sent it to USCIS.
