Yes you can. Put in a request for an expedite, and submit along with your petition.

2. he got not formal orders yet.. should he write a request letter from his officers/chief?

You will need to have the formal orders to serve as evidence that he is actually going to be deployed. (Can't leave anything to chance)

3. how long is the normal process of a k1 visa application?

From the timelines here i'd say the normal processing times for K1 is anywhere between 6 to 9months. With an expedite, you can have your petition approved in less than 3months.

thanks and if you got any additional inf regarding k1 visa with military personnel will be highly appreciated. thanks again..

I'm sure you will get more advise from members here. Best of luck in your journey!!

No, you don't need an official copy of his orders - these can be received very last minute!

My husband printed of from the database a notice he received of his assignment, which had expected dates etc. on it. This was accepted. A letter from his commander would work equally well I imagine. Official orders would be even better of course, but some things in the military take a long time to happen!

Ours took 3 months but was a marriage visa, so a little different as we didn't have as much relationship type stuff to prove. We petitioned September for an April change of station and it was expedited through every area (USCIS, NVC, embassy).

We found the military help line useless, and we went to JAG on one of the biggest bases known for it's JAG group in the USA and they said they had no experience with immigration and referred us to a lawyer. I decided to do it all myself.

Good luck!
