$170 Check

I'm currently overseas residing with my fiance and have filled out all the necessary paperwork work for the K1 Visa. I don't write checks so I sent the our K1 Visa completed package to my mother back in the states so that she can include the $170.00 check and then send off everything to our USCIS service center.

What im wanting to find out is if it's ok for her to include a check in her name for me and my fiance' visa process?

Perfectly fine to to submit payment that way but note in the I-129F instructions it states "When a check is drawn on an account of a person other than your self, write your name on the face of the check" I would put your name on the NOTE LINE of the check, and make sure it is payable to: Department of Homeland Security.

You should be just fine. Make sure your name is referenced on the check, that's all. As long as it's made out to the right place, is written for the correct dollar amount, and has a valid date they'll take it. Best of luck!

They don't care who pays, as long as they get their money. Good idea to use that as supporting evidence if you need a co-sponsor.
