H1-B transfer withdrawal

A company filed an H1-B transfer on my behalf which is still pending. In the process, my current employer made a counter offer.

Question: Am i responsible to pay for liquidated damages even if I didnt start working for them? considering that the transfer is still pending.

I would appreciate a legal advice from immigration/labor lawyers.

Thanks!

I'm sorry, then you need to speak to a lawyer, this is a website where people with experience offer their opinions

Now, you are working for this company and you are asking if you are liable for damages even if you aren't actually working under a visa?

Correct?

Now, to be a nice guy, I'd man up and repay the company for any damages you are responsible for regardless if your visa status

good luck

If you want legal advice from an immigration/labor lawyer, then you will have to go and pay for one. There are only ordinary people on this forum who help out of the kindness of their hearts. No one here will give you any "legal advice." All we can give you is "advice". Pay a lawyer if you want "legal advice."
