wait times with NVC

So we mailed in our AOS and IV packets to the NVC and have confirmation that it's been received.

I called the NVC just before and they said to give 20 business days till I find out the status of the case. Anyone recommend how often to call to find out the status or do I really need to wait 4 weeks to call again?

Thanks and good luck guys!

Call every single day to find out your status. You should hear something within 2 weeks of your packages being reviewed.

Thanks a lot, Saylin!

That's what I thought... the NVC rep wasn't too helpful and I figured they're just "reading" a line. I read on here that they don't tell you when the case is complete yet some people receive correspondence from them stating that it is complete. I guess I'll just keep calling :)

Yeah, the reps all have these standard time frames for everything, but they're always way longer than what they actually are.

The reps can tell you when your case is complete though. Not sure where you read that as that's not true.

Not sure where I read it...maybe misread? In any event I'm hopeful we'll get a case closed. Patience helps...phew!
