Hello!

We have already scheduled the interview when we received the MNL# and read on the confirmation that an Appointment Letter is required when going to the interview. We were wondering what time frame they send out the letters? I still have not received any letter from the NVC too. Should we be worried that the letter won't arrive in time for a Jan 26 interview?

Not yet. I just called the embassy though. They received the case Jan 7 so the letter might be in the mail already. They advised us to e-mail IVMNLAppointments@state.gov to have them send us a copy of the letter via e-mail.

Have you done the medicals and got all the documents and stuff that you need to bring with you? That info is usually sent out with the first package...

Yup, she completed the medical today. She is very worried about not having the letter though since everyone else she met at the medical that was there for a k1 visa had a letter from the embassy with their name on it. She only had the interview confirmation with barcode that was printed from the ustraveldocs.com/ph site.

We've completed all the requirements from photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/19452/public/Revised%20K1%20Instruction_rtf2_005.pdf and has all the necessary documents for the interview.

We're just worried that they won't let her in to the embassy without her interview letter even though she has the interview confirmation.

I hope we're just worrying for no reason. I sent an e-mail to IVMNLAppointments@state.gov regarding the letter around their closing time so I might get a response about it tomorrow.

You are worrying for no reason. Lots of K-1'ers never even receive the Embassy letter, yet they have no problem being admitted to the Embassy for their interview. To this day, Chinook has never received the Embassy letter.

Your fiancée needs to bring along her appointment confirmation sheet that she printed out online when she made her appointment.
