hello my dear vjers,

my case was completed on early Dec 2012, I was expecting interview appointment but I just received NVC notification about Provisional Waiver of Unlawful Presecnce,

so what does that have to do with my process, is it another delay?

below is the email from NVC

NVC Case Number xxxxxxxxxxx

Dear xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

This notice applies to you if you are currently in the United States, are or have been unlawfully present and plan to apply for an Immigrant Visa at a U.S embassy or consulate abroad.

Beginning March 4, 2013, certain immediate relatives of U.S citizens may apply for a provisional waiver of inadmissibility due to unlawful presence before leaving the United States. For more information please visit immigrantvisas.state.gov.

Before filing Form I-601A , YOU MUST NOTIFY THE NATIONAL VISA CENTER (NVC) by emailing NVCI601A@state.gov. Failure to notify the NVC that you plan Form I-601A will delay your visa application.

Why does NVC have to send this notification to me?

Does anyone else received this?

Please share your thoughts and opinions.

Thank you for been so helpful.

We also got this email yesterday. I called NVC, and they said it's automatically sent and has nothing to do with our particular case. I'm sure the same is true for you also.

Keeping fingers crossed for an interview appointment soon!

Sorry, this bit should rule you out, aye?

This notice applies to you if you are currently in the United States, are or have been unlawfully present and plan to apply for an Immigrant Visa at a U.S embassy or consulate abroad.

Are you, a visa applicant, currently in the USA? No.

Have you been unlawfully present in the USA? No.

Have you been unlawfully present in the USA and have a visa application in play at NVC? No.

Maybe draw a Venn Diagram, see where you fall in or out?
