Question about AOS (was approved)

Not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes!

I was approved for GC back in June 2012 and still have not recieved my GC. On the USCIS website it still states that on Aug 27th they have sent my card to production. I called USICS 2X's now and placed service requests. THe first time I received no reponse, then called 30days later & placed 2nd request. I received email from them on Nov12,2012 that card was in production and please allow 90days to receive GC!

Now we are into New Year and I am wondering why is it taking soooooo long to print off my GC?

What can my husband and I do now to get them to actually send me my card? I am out of patients and my EAD/AP card is expired now!!!HELP please!!! :crying:

You have been very patient. Consider contacting the USCIS Ombudsman and/or your elected Federal Representative/Senator, and getting them involved in your case.

yeah, something is not right. almost 4 months after card in production.. Maybe got lost some where..

It would not hurt to request assistance from the US Senator/Congressperson while you are waiting for response from 2nd inquiry as A&B suggested.

Besides the other advice given here, I would also suggest that instead of calling, you make an Infopass appointment and go in person. See if they can give you any helpful information on your case and card. Since your green card was approved, but you have not received it and your EAD/AP is expired, ask for an I-551 stamp in your passport while you are being made to wait.

Perfectly understandable. Ours is about a 5 hour drive each way and we ended up having to go there twice, for biometrics and an interview. It is a pain with it being so far away. We are saving up a little to make an overnight visit there a mini vacation for us when we have to go back again for his biometrics for ROC coming up within the next few months.

I hope contacting the ombudsman and senator and/or congressman works. Good luck!

The funny thing for me was I had my biometrics in a place 3hrs away from us but the place to get the stamp is 6hrs away. Not sure why they couldn't just have it in the same place :bonk:

Anyway I almost wish I would have the 2nd interview I would have had my GC by now!! :wacko:
