Hi Guys. i am from Nigeria I went for my K1 interview last month december and i guess i answered all my questions correctly if i may say, but the problem i have now is i spent one year studying in malaysia before i came back to Nigeria and i didnt know i needed a police report from there also for my interview. I only came with a Police report from my country Nigeria. After i was done with my Interview, the consular gave me a paper and said i should submit it with my passport and a malaysian police report as soon as i get. She gave me the address where i should submit it to. Its called GSS which is known to be their Document submittion and visa collection Office Center. She didnt ask me to reschedule another appointment as soon as i get the police records ready. Does that mean that when submut it to GSS i'll be told when to come get my visa or what? i am very confused right now. I have sent for the police report already and it would take about a month before i get it here from the Malaysian Embassy in Nigeria. The paper didnt state anywhere i was denied. What are my chances here. I need answers PLEASE!!!

seems to me soon as you submit the PC from Malaysia along with your passport they will issue the visa pending the additional paperwork. But not knowing exactly what the 221g paper they gave you says no one can tell you with 100% certainty. For others reading this, from the age of 16 on you are required to submit a PC from all countries you have lived for 6 months or more. For those with CR1/IR1 visas the police certificates are required at the NVC stage, thus you will not get to the interview stage without having them. Good luck!!!

Most papers handed out by the embassy have a form number either at the top or bottom. A 221g is the form issues normally when they don't give a visa on the day of the interview. It is used both for say you are denied and for visas that are approved IF you provide something more. The paper you where handed should have had that number on it somewhere , Nigeria sometimes uses their own versions. But it seems if you turn in the police certificate and your passport you will get your visa.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
