In what situation i-485 will be approved without an interview?(GC based on marriage)

HI guys"

my friend told me he got the green card without an interview, is it true? i know his green card is based on marriage. and my status now is i-130 approved, i-485 is scheduling for interview, EAD got approved also, do you guys think my GC will be approved without an interview also? im wounding what kind of situation that can make a GC approved without interview? anyone got GC without interview here? thanks for sharing all of your stories. happy new year guys.

Only AoS from K-1 can be approved without an interview. It seems you have a 50-50 chance for either a straight approval or an interview, in that situation.

AoS from all other nonimmigrant visas will have a compulsory interview.

Agree with the previous answer- basically, if you already had a rigorous interview to get the K1 visa, you may not have another one, but if you adjust from a non-immigrant visa, you will- they need to make sure your relationship is bonafide.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
