It varies widely from country to country. Once the NVC completes your case, it is forwarded to the Embassy in the beneficiary's country, then they mail/email you a packet (packet 3.5) requesting some info and forms to be filled out. Once you return those to the Embassy, you'll be sent another packet, usually after 2 and 4 weeks, containing the date of your interview, which will usually be within 20-40 days. So you're looking at anywhere from a month and a half to 3 months before your interview. Hope this helps.

For a spousal visa case this is incorrect. The processes and procedures for fiance(e) and spousal are completely different and not interchangeable.

What happens in a spouse visa case after the NVC "completes" it is the file is held until they are informed of available interview dates by the Embassy or Consulate where the interview will take place. Once those dates are made available, an interview is scheduled and the file is then sent out. The Embassy or Consulate will send no packets to the beneficiary asking for forms because the needed forms would have already been sent to the NVC.

That's what I thought!! I thought that I had supplied all forms already!! Thanks for clearing that up!! So it could just be about 4 weeks right?

It could be anywhere from several weeks to several months. It really depends on how busy the embassy in the beneficiary's country is. My interview was exactly a month after my case was completed so it's definitely possible.
