Hi guys,

I received my NOA2 on Dec. 10th. I keep on calling NVC everyday and they haven't received my case yet. The lady that answered me last night told me to make sure it said on the NOA2 that it will be forwarded to NVC. I was like where else would it go? I took a look at it, and it said "will be forwarded to the listed consulate." I am so confused. How is that supposed to happen? Isn't it supposed to go to NVC first and get assigned a case number? I read through some old posts, and it seems like NVC doesn't get bypassed. I called USCIS last night twice and one of them told me that if it said that on your letter then it will go straight to the consulate. The other one told me this is a standard msg. and no matter what it says it will go to NVC first. This is really confusing!! I wish people won't say different things!

I remember calling my congressman office a few days ago and he said he called immigration and they told him my case did get sent already. And he told me it will reach where ever your fiance is. I didn't make much sense out of it, till I re read my NOA2 and it said that it will go to the listed consulate! Now I am even more confused!

My questions is: Has it happened to ANY of you that the papers get forwarded to the embassy straight and bypassing NVC?????

I received the same responses on 1 of our NOA2 and when I asked NVC about they stated that all K1 and K3 HAVE to come to NVC FIRST before they are sent to the Consulate. so it does need to go to NVC first before anywhere else
