Embassy Review : Hello everyone

My fiance's interview was this morning. We made it there at 5:25 thinking we would be the first people but to our surprise there were four people ahead of us We waited across from the embassy till 7:00 am when they started forming two lines, one for immigrant and the other for non-immigrant. Then they started asking people to take out the letter they received. My fiance received a phone call and not a letter so the guy had to look up his name on the list using our case number. At 7:15 they started letting people in. Of course, they didn't let me in with him as expected so I waited for him nearby. When my fiance was in, he was asked for the originals of birth certificate and military service. And then he paid the interview and dhl fee. And then the looooooooooong wait began. He wasn't called for his interview till around 11:20. He said the interview was less than 5 minutes. He said that the CO was extremely friendly and greeted him with "Good morning sir." Then the interview began. H was asked:

-How did you meet your fiance? (My fiance answered)
-Did you have an engagement party? (My fiance said yes and showed him pictures. The CO didn't ask for the pictures, it was my fiance who offered to him the pics. However, my fiance said the CO looked at each pic VERY CAREFULLY and took his time looking at the pics. Then again my fiance offered to show him screen shots of our phone messages. The CO told him these are Iphone msgs? My fiance said yes. The CO skimmed through them.)

Then more questions:

-What does your fiance do for a living?
-How long did she live in the USA? (I've been living in Egypt for the past year)
-Why did she come to live in Egypt?

That's it! The interview ended. The CO told my fiance your case looks very good but as you know we usually require further processing. So you will be put under AP for about 3-6 weeks. My CO said this time frame w/o my fiance asking him for it. So hopefully it will really be with in this time frame Overall, my fiance was satisfied with the experience. And we are so glad it's over. Now just hoping the AP will be over pretty quick also

Good luck to all of you awaiting the interviews. May God be with you all, inshAllah

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
