Dear All,

First I want to thank all the members of this website, and moderators, and those who keep helping others. I sent many PMs to many members and ALL were answered, in addition to few posts which were answered as well.

I will write very detailed review below based on the request of some fellow members

Interview Details

I had my interview on Dec. 19th, fortunately my spouse is visiting me in Jordan so she came with me to the embassy at 7 AM. Scheduled interview was 7:30 AM. So we arrived at 7 with around 5-6 people waiting outside, 3 of them Immigration Visa, others are students/visitors. They had to queues but security lined us all in one line. 7:15 they admitted first. Our turn came after 10 minutes and of course we were asked for our passports and interview letter, then we went through security checks (which my wife kept beeping thru the metal door, lol). We reached inside, took a paper from the officer for our turn saying "IMM - D " which is 4th turn on immigration visa.

The waiting started, after half an hour or so, I was called to handover all my original documents to a worker there thru a window, not the CO . Marriage Contract, Marriage Certificate, birth certificate, PCCs, ..... etc. I tried to minimize the shuffling. They kept it all and asked me to go back to the waiting room.

Half an hour later, I was called to the interview. Make sure you listen well as often an American will say your name so it might not sound like you're used to hearing it. My wife and I walked to the window, CO asked if I speak English, and asked to talk to me alone so my wife sat back.

CO asked me few questions only :

- First question was " Who is _____ (my brother's name, the co-sponsor) and where does he live and what does he do there, Wife's name, how did we meet and when, when and where did we first meet in person , how many times did my wife visit me, whether I went to the US or not before. What's my profession and whats my wife studying and where. Where I worked before now.

He then asked to talk to my wife alone and asked her the SAME questions (except the question about co-sponsor) plus the following :

- When did she change her religion.

Then I was called again so together at the window, he asked me to swear everything I said is true, then fingerprinting. Then he went to talk to another CO, came back and gave me a paper while saying " Congratulations, you've been approved for the visa and you'll receive it within 2 days of processing, take this slip to the Aramex office here" (there's one in the embassy). I was flying from Joy and sooo relieved. My wife asked him if he wants to see our photos, lol, even after approving, he said no thanks. The white paper he gave me also says the same, that I've been approved.

After walking to the Aramex office few meters away, he called me again on microphone, I was SCARED at that moment. He just wanted to give me a paper in arabic which shows my rights as an immigrant. they kept my passport and all originals. I gave the Aramex employee my location for delivering the passport, and didn't even pay the 5 Dinars because she didnt have a change of 50. She said I can pay it on delivery. That was all on Dec. 19th, Wednesday. I finished around 9 AM or 9:15.

The following Monday, around 11:30 AM, Aramex delivered the package !!! passport and another packet that should not be opened. Father called me as I wasn't home, and I asked him to CHECK the visa if it's stamped on the passport, lol.

Thank God it went smoothly. The 3 women who were interviewed before me without their spouses were also approved. I wish and hope that everybody's journey goes easily and get your visas soon.

Now to the next step, settling down there and finding a job :star:
