Are there any specific rules or best practice for attaching plastic bag with photos or pages together.

Staple in the top left?

Paperclip?

Everything stapled together?

or I129 with etension pages

then biometrics seperate from i129?

Am I over thinking this?

I put paperclips. But I believed they put the petitions in their own files anyway (and remove paperclips and plastic bags...) so I am not so sure it matters.

I haven't been approved any sooner or later because of my paperclips laughing.gif but at the time I filed, it was such an IMPORTANT question for me too laughing.gifheadbonk.gif

The rule is to get everything in the envelope and seal it.

Remember that EVERYTHNG you send is immediately dismantled and placed into one of their files. Regardless of what you do, a short time after arriving your file looks exactly like every other file at the Service Center.

Be sure that everything is labled with your name and youf fiancees name so that it can be matched up if it is dropped or shuffled around (can happen, these ARE human beings doing this)

They hate staples because they have to take everything apart. If you staple things they will say bad words about you and talk about you at dinner with their families (but keep your name out of it)

THEY staple things, but you should not.

FWIW I used paper clips to keep everything in proper order and a big binder clip on the whole thing. I am sure the clips and binder clip were redundant.

Thank you everyone for the replies.

Paperclips it is, I also like the idea of a big binder clip to keep it all in one lump for when the evelope is first opened.

I have the urge to ask sandwich bags or ziplock bags but I have a feeling its not that big of a deal considering the re-sort it goes through once they process the docs.

We simply laid out twenty or so digital images of us looking couple-y in Photoshop and then printed them on a couple of pieces of high quality paper, before clipping (not stapling, which you should never do). It sure beats lots of loose photos and since it was only a couple of pages it just fitted in nearly with the rest of the forms.

There's that smell again...
