Need your help guys. We submitted our petition, now waiting for NOA2. i have a question:

Both names in my birth certificate and Passport match, expect the fact that the middle name in my passport lacks one letter. It is written as 'Kavere' in my passport while in my birth certificate its 'Khavere'. The letter 'H' is missing from my passport.

Will this pose a problem? Can i have my passport corrected at the time or will it contradict the copies that were sent with the petition. My fiance was thinking we could stick to using the initial 'K' and just stick with the first and last names.

Please help. I really need to know before my interview at the embassy.

ONly my opinion, but after everything immigration put me through my money says that is a big problem. You need them to match, their job is to detect fraud. My son's birth certificate had one little letter spelled wrong and we fixed it before filing, then we were told because we had to amend it we had to do a dna test. but the way your birth certificate spells your name will become who you are. get your passport fixed.

I moved your post to the regional forums because some embassies MAY have an issue, so this becomes embassy specific.

When was your passport issued? When did you notice the difference on the passport?
