calling uscis

hello guys,

Just wanted to ask you if there is anyone of you in here who have this kind of situation before, my hubby to be tused to call USCIS and then uscis tell him to call after two days again for us to have a service request to our 129f application and they said that if we succeded to have that request we will just have to wait for a week to have that noa2.. Is it normal, Im just quite confused coz me and my other friend was on the same situation and thats what USCIS tell us to do??? I wanted to know if there is anyone who experienced it before and have noa2 after a week ... TIa and god bless us all

I called USCIS on my 5 month mark and received my approval exactly 2 weeks later. When I spoke to someone they wouldn't give me a service request because VSC was processing May 28th so I called back and spoke to someone else and they gave me one. When I asked someone at USCIS what a service request does they said it expedites your request to get approved within 1 - 2 weeks. My service request came in the mail and told me to wait 60 days to process another service request but then the next day I was approved. I think you should try it there is no hurt in trying.

ohh well thank you guys.. so do I still have to tell my hubby to be that hes going to call them again on monday,,, Im so sick to wait for our noa2 and yes if its really okay to try it then why not lols, we filed it july and still no noa2 yet so I must grab it nad then try to call them again on monday as they wished.. thank you so much for the encouragements....god bless u always :innocent:

This will get you a service request. The service request DOES NOT slow down the processesing. But, it seems that some of the USCIS people that answer the calls would rather not make the service request, so you get lame excuses or reason why not to file one.

yeaaaa thats what Uscis told to my timmy and I was just hoping that we should go service request now, coz were going to reach 5 mos mark on 23rd and hey thank you for the prayers arent you a july filer too???? did you try to call Uscis anyway?

Hello All,

I received my Noa1 way back on June 18. I've called every day this past week as we are near our 6 month mark and I've gotten excuse after excuse. My favorite is that I am still within the time frame and that I should contact them within another month! Any advice to this one? Calling all June filers who have yet to receive their NOA2 to post here as well. Thanks and God Bless us all..

I am a June 6th NOA1 and today I sent a letter to one of my state Senators. I'm hoping the office will help move it forward because we are practically 6.3 months now and have heard nothing (NOA1 6/6 and last touched 6/13). I will also give USCIS a call come Monday. I've seen a lot of other June filers get approved so I'm not sure what is going on. You'd think it would make a case a bit easier when we are both unmarried, have never been married and have clean records... but who knows. Gotta try and get some muscle behind these things.

To the June filer- call them and get a service request done PRONTO!

I am also waiting to see my Babee!! I wanted to fly over for New Years and being her back with me in January. That's not going to happen now.

I'm a July 20, 2012 PD for CSC .

I called USCIS on the 15th of this month and it took me two calls to get someone to answer my two questions without using just one sentence to shut me up. You have to very persistent with them and extremely polite. I'll be calling them on the 21st, past our 5 month mark for a service request or to talk to a supervisor as well. I noticed a lot of the representatives there simply just want to shut you up.

I called USCIS didn't press any buttons and then I am transferred to a customer service rep who speaks in Spanish I said English please she asked me a few questions receipt (case) #, dob, my name and if I was the petitioner. I then said I would like to speak to a tier 2 officer u wait a while so be prepared. When the tier two officer answered I said that my case was received on June 25th and I've spoken to ppl before, on and after my date that have been approved and I was wondering if he could tell me a bit more about my case. He put me on hold came back 5 minutes later and said I am still under initial processing but since ppl around me and especially after me have been processed I should be processed soon I asked if he could please give me a service request and he said yes and gave me a tracking number for the request. I was advised to do this by another friend. It took her abor 6 tries to get a service request but was approved a week later. It all depends on who answers the phone. I believe you should call and call until someone gives u the service request I got it and 2 weeks later I was approved.

As far as i know the processing period is 5 to 6 months. There are some out there waiting 7 or 8 months to get thier NOA2. I know this is the hard thing but this is the way they do it. Just relax and keep busy while waiting. Not one not two or three experiencing this so better to focused on other things for now. Good luck!

Demanding a service request seems like the way to go. It will be our 6 month wait on tomorrow December 18. Wait, it is tomorrow...Calling later to begin the process for a service request. This is becoming overly frustrating. Salamat sa advices...

We just got our NOA2 approval today, hopefully the rest of the process goes quick. Anyone from CSC in July should be getting their approval very soon, I've noticed more and more July approvals for CSC.
