Got Packet 3 from the Embassy but I'm confused

The instructions start off by saying: "Complete and return immediately DS 230 I". So my initial reaction is to fill that form out solely and bring it to them right away, however it then tells me to gather birth cert, passport, police certificate, photographs etc and to arrange for a medical.

Do I need to wait until I have gathered everything required for the interview before I can give them the DS 230 I form, or am I meant to give that to them ASAP and go gather the material while they give me an interview date.

I find this very confusing and it doesn't help that the instructions they sent me have the text worn off parts of certain pages. :/

Dunno but hopefully soon ill be in the same position I would like to get some info from you of possible as I'm still waiting on my NOA2 but my received date for the NOA1 was June 4th so hopefully soon I will here.

Ill like to know how you got on with the police report and what was required and also what else was asked

Step three: Once you have all the required documents, send back the DS-2001 (if not sent back no interview scheduled).

Thanks to VJ, I knew already which documents were needed, so I got everything ready when I receive the Packet 3.

I sent back the DS-230 Part I and the DS-2001 at the same time.

I don't know how different is it in the Embassy, and if you need to send them back more documents, but follow their instructions.

I don't know how different is it in the Embassy, and if you need to send them back more documents, but follow their instructions.

They usually require this page back before they move further in your process.

I was lucky the VJ Paris Embassy page was pretty complete about it. Here is the one from Ireland: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Ireland&cty=Dublin

But the packet 3 you got contains the list of docs needed for your interview, so you already know what you need.
