I found when looking up my case status for our I-130, that my I-129f for a fiance visa is still showing as active even though I cancelled it after we waited almost one year for the review which never happened after denial in 2010. I followed the instruction given to me and it seems they didn't cancel it. Will that pose an issue when approving our I130?

I hope we will be approved by the end of this week! Good Luck!

I also sent in a letter stating we were no longer eligible. They approved our I-129F anyways. I had to have the embassy send it back to them and maybe they'll actually close it this time around.

I do believe that any pending I-129F is closed when the I-130 is approved, but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will enlighten us both.

I had read elsewhere that you drive by THAT place! :hehe::lol: Have you ever been tempted to get in and ask some real people some questions?

By the end of the week I meant Sunday ;)

Tempted yes....but would never do it. I'm sure that wouldn't go over to well, and I know 100% that I wouldn't get past security. They would say hey that woman that drives by yelling at us everyday is at the front door, call the cops! Just kidding about yelling, it's internal :) Or I could just ask the people out having a smoke lol

Do you know why your case has been delayed?

The problem is I have no clue what has caused the delay in my case (a very simple case with no complications) and no one in USCIS tells me! :(

Senators office said they are behind.....that I should have an answer soon. I am a may 4th filer, so many are in the same boat, delay doesn't mean your case has an issue.

Two weeks ago my congressman's office said I should hear from them within 30 days (my senator's office said 30-60days). VSC in reply to my E-request said I should hears something within 90 days! I know that my case may not have any issues, but I would like to know what stage it is in. And seeing many people who files after me approved is not reassuring either. Although, knowing there are some people out there like me, is helpful. Good Luck!
