There is no Palestine to hate.

Channeling Golda and Joan again ?

There are two small enclaves of Arabs left in Israel and they get smaller by the week.

Incorrect. Between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, the number of Palestinians is at a parity right now with the number of Jews (actually very slightly higher.) Demographic projections indicate that Palestinian population growth will out-pace Jewish population growth at an increasingly significant rate, resulting in a clear Palestinian-majority within the next decades.

So in fact, you could say the small Jewish enclave is getting (relatively) smaller.

The only "moving on" will be the moving on of Israel as it moves closer to replacing Tel Aviv with Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

At least you've now admitted that Jerusalem is not the capital of Israel. One step at a time.

As far as Belarus voting for anything, Belarus is a European backwater Commie run dictatorship that amounts to zero in the scheme of things. Kind of like the UN.

Sore loser  The world has moved on. The U.S. will be the last one standing in Apartheid Israel's corner, just as it was the last one standing up for Apartheid South Africa. But look what happened anyway. Eventually both the US, and Israel, will catch up with the rest of the modern world...

The world? You mean those super great countries that respect human rights? Like Belarus, Russia, China, Egypt, Senegal, Libya, Kenya, Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Congo, Liberia, etc... Nothing the UN does will make a difference on what direction Israel chooses. Paper doesn't win wars.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

like as in, money?

sure it does.

How much did paper help you when you were in the army? And I'm not talking about toilet paper.

Of course no one is surprised that Israel continues to flout the UN... duh... that's been going on for years.

What is different is that Israel completely lost Europe. After years of trying to spin this as "third world savages vs. the civilized western world" issue (as you apparently are still trying to do,) Israel gets slapped with a big dis from the Europeans. Germany, in particular, is crucial to Israel's political and economic power. This is a clear message that the status quo has been shaken up.

And if the UN didn't matter, why did Israel try so hard to stop the recognition of a Palestinian state, and why is it now reacting with such anger ?

What did Europe and the UN do for the Balkans? UN troops stood by and watched thousands of Muslims get carted off in the biggest mass killing of that war. The EU has no army and no clout. The UN is one step below the EU so that tells you how much both of them mean in the scheme of things.

Give your enemy an inch and they will take a mile. Why give them anything at all?

What gives Israel the right to decide whether Palestinians can have a country on their own land ? Sheer arrogance.

It's not their land anymore. Might is right and to the victor belongs the spoils.
