We did not attach an EOR along with I-130. I-130 is approved and we are awaiting interview in the next couple of months. Would it help to have the EOR handy at the time of interview? Suggestions?

What do you mean? Did you submit proof with your I -130 or not?

He's asking about a specific evolution of the relationship, I believe.

Not, pictures, mixed financials, skypes, etc.

I provided an evolution of our relationship just to be safe.

Really, I suppose the answer to your question depends on how much evidence you have to begin with and if there are any red flags in you relationship such as age difference or religious beliefs.

Exactly. If one feels an Evolution of Relationship Letter will help their case or is warranted by the circumstances of their relationship, it's best to submit it with the petition but better later than never. You always update your relationship evidence for the interview anyway, so sure, write it, sign it and have the intending immigrant take it to the interview.

I-130 petition has already been approved (did not attach EOR at that time). We do have some red flags, age difference is one of them, I am 9 yrs older than DH. Due to that reason our families were not involved in the wedding (second red flag, I guess). We do have tons of evidences to prove the bonafide marriage. Do people usually provide EOR at the time of interview is my question.

Thank you.

It's the wrong question. The answer is no. Usually, they provide it when they file the petition but if you need it, and it sounds like you do, provide it at the interview.

If that's the case you need to bring all the evidence to the interview. I know 2 women who were American and us citizens who married foreigners from my country Jordan. They were older than the guys by 10 years. At the interview they were put in two separate rooms to be interrogated. They got AP. their cases both were in AP for a few months until their husbands got conditional residency.

All male immigrant visa applicants from Jordan are put on AP and several months is pretty common. There is no cause and effect relationship between either the age difference or the USC being present on interview day and being put on AP. However, the issues discussed during the interview may well have impacted the course of investigation during AP.

That's not true. Not all immigrant visa applicants are put in ap. my husband didn't he got approved right on the spot.

Then correction, "With rare exceptions, all....." OK? My point is that there is no cause and effect.

It's solely at YOUR discretion.

For China, this is common practice, submitting an EOR with I-130 submittal, updated version with NVC intake on the DS-230, and another updated version on interview day.

Since you have these issues, I suggest you submit 'stuff' in with the DS-230 during NVC document intake.

This gives the Consular Officer a chance to review all prior to interview day (which is really what you want, in the first place).

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Our case is complete at NVC, so, I guess we lost the opportunity of submitting it with DS-230 intake (didn't know about EOR at that time). I had attached copies of wedding pictures and pictures with our friends, affidavits from friends, spouse as beneficiary nominations, record of a joint bank account and spousal name endorsement on my passport, etc along with I-130. Will have more evidences at the time of interview, will include EOR with it. Would that look odd in India, as they don't have the practice of doing it?

I don't think it would look odd at all.

Just shows your serious about proving your relationship is real.

Thank you. I am also thinking of providing sworn affidavits explaining the red flags.

Hello all,

Thank you very much for the responses so far.

I think I am going to make use of the opportunity that is coming up for us. I will become a US Citizen next week. I know I can notify the NVC via email with a copy of NC attached, but I am thinking of sending it also via snail mail along with the EOR and our additional evidences for bona fide marriage and ongoing relationship. What do you guys think? I am hoping that would get our evidences to the IO beforehand and give them a chance to review.

Thank you for your support.
