We received email confirmation from the USCIS that they received our AOS packet on January 23rd. Since then we have not heard one thing from them. I see on the forums many people have filed several months after us and have already received their green cards. I called USCIS three times with the same answer....that we need to wait. I have been very patient but no my patients, and my wifes are all used up. I see some people contacting their congressmen but receive what sounds like form letter responses. Does anyone have any input? I checked the January AOS filers thread but not much recent information has been posted.

Contact your congressman/senator, it doesn't hurt to try. It's been a very long time, not sure what is the processing time at CSC (they don't post it I think), but it seems way past it!

Mine was approved after a year of wait.

I requested assistance from my US Senator and I have no doubt it helped out in my case..

Ask your Congressman/Senator for assistance. If you go to their website, they have place for asking for assistance dealing with federal agency.. just follow that.

I would definitely call, write or visit your congressman. That's ridiculous. However a colleague of mine has been waiting since January also, so at the least you're not completely alone.

It seems as if that is my only option. It's frustrating knowing that the USCIS has approved others who had filed months after us. Thanks for the responses. I will make contact with my local senator and see else can be done.

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

I was feeling the same way just before I got approved, so I can't imagine how you're feeling, total sympathy for you, hang in there, you will get the result soon. Senator's should want to help, especially after they were 'just' elected or re-elected!

Good Luck good.gif
