Is your printer not wireless? With our printers I can just email a document to the printer and it will print.

My ipad doesn't have usb ports...so I suppose I would have to email it or put it in my icloud or something anyway. I don't really use it for documents or a lot of typing though. I have the newest one (I got it for a Christmas present) and I use it mainly for reading books, Netflix, drawing/taking written notes, games for the kiddo, etc. I have yet to explore it beyond that.

My printer won't print from ipad? It's hp, and not the ones with the iPad drivers. Then at work, everything is geared pc also. I can also type much faster on a keyboard...

Actually as we speak, I'm making a real southern dinner for my wife and her sis. Meatloaf with dirty rice, collared greens and corn bread...all Internet recipes. I should really make fried chicken to make them use their hands to eat...

This is almost like...soul food?

It sounds good. Fried chicken is something I have never attempted to make at home. Maybe I am just too lazy to deal with cooking in Crisco. I do have nice cast iron pans if I ever decide to one day though.

i didnt have the luxury of a bf until i was eighteen =X

Neither did I. I met my first bf my first semester of college trolling Christian teen boards on Yahoo. Doesn't get more romantic than that. It lasted for about 6 months and then he moved to Cleveland and that commute was just too much for my lazy butt. That's why I never expected anything between Mr. W and I. If I couldn't even keep up a relationship 6-7 hours away, how was I supposed to do it internationally? Life is weird.

 There are a few in high school and middle school that I'd like to forget but they weren't serious at all.

I made a maple pork loin roast last night, is that the same thing? I don't know my cuts of meat at all and it was my first time making non-bacon pork.

I'm gonna try to make a pernil in a few days, I love ethnic foods.

a pork loin is sort of shaped like a baseball bat.

Hmmm ok - I still have no idea. I'm so clueless on meat, I'll have to look next time I'm in the supermarket.

18? My husband lost his virginity then, but I'm actually his first ever girlfriend and he had just turned 26 when we met.

You can get those bluetooth keyboards for the ipad. I saw them here and am thinking about buying one because I like the Danish keys already on it, but it was like $60 or 70. I just don't know if I can justify the expense.

You should get a printer with the ability to email files to it from anywhere that will print. It is lots of fun! Sometimes I email my mother things from Denmark to the printer and wake her up in the middle of the night.

Having just broken up with a Scandi (and I really don't like Scandi men in general) because he was moving back to Sweden and because it was just not really "love", I never expected another one to come along. I was on interpals because I love traditional penpals and writing letters and I had done a search for some terms that people who are Asatru might use and he popped up. His picture on interpals was so ugly and didn't look like him at all, so I figured what is the harm in talking to him on Skype. Then, he came on and he was cute and sweet and sounded like my Grandpa in Yorkshire when he speaks English and I just fell instantly. I think we talked like 5 hours a day after that (my poor school grades suffered) and booked tickets to fly out to Denmark about 2 weeks after we started talking....

Sometimes love smacks you in the face.

Actually, I'm really surprised it has worked out so well with how fast everything has moved. :wow:

Every 8th day or so, I let my husband "cook" and by cook I mean heat up something from the freezer and make instant mashed potatoes or something. Even with that he leaves my kitchen in shambles.

Seriously. People thought we were more than a bit nuts for getting married so fast, but you can't argue with results. B-)

How we met was that shortly before taking my first German course, I changed my ICQ language preferences to include German. I figured I could use practice. A few days after New Year's, my husband, very drunk, sent me a random chat message and we had the most pointless of conversations, but we added each other and it went from there. Eventually we traded pics. We both thought we were hawt, but the Atlantic Ocean and all. We ended up meeting in person because...

Around 2002, I was friends with a Lithuanian who was a practitioner of Romuva. Eventually, I was invited to come to Lithuania the next summer to learn more about his religion. I wanted to go, but I couldn't afford that. Enter one of my German professors who told me about a dirt cheap three week language course in Oldenburg that financial aid would pay for. It turned out it ended the week before the thing in Lithuania started. Well, huh. So I signed up figuring I would just hop a cheap flight to Vilnius. About a month later, Mr. W and I were chatting about it and he asked where I was going in Germany. I told him Oldenburg and he said that was awesome because he lived about a half an hour from there. He said that the time I was there was going to be the same time as WOA and asked if I wanted to go. I said...k, but I wasn't 100% committed to the idea of even meeting him.

Time goes by and it is time for me to travel from Copenhagen to Oldenburg. I ended up in Oldenburg later than I expected on a Saturday evening. People from the course pick me up and take me to my...guest family. This is just some insane old bat. I was supposed to sleep in her dead son's room that she had made some sort of shrine to him out of among other things. It was extremely hot that day and I asked to get a shower. I thought about what I was going to do because there was no way I was spending 3 weeks there. I realized I still had Mr. W's info in my notebook so just took what I needed to survive and left the apartment. I didn't know where I was going, just needed a payphone (I wasn't allowed to use the phone in the old bat's house). Found a payphone and called the number. His sister answered and gave him to me. He said he was happy that I called and he was afraid I wasn't going to because he knew I had left two weeks prior. I briefly explained the situation and he said he'd borrow a car to rescue me. About 40 minutes later, he showed up, we got drunk, and that was the end of that.

That's a great story. Almost screenplay material...

It is always odd for me to consider how we got together myself. I remember the car ride back to his house, he was explaining everything there was to know about the Wesermarsch, and all I was thinking "D*MN, he's even hotter in person. I'd hit that again and again and again!"

It wasn't that we just got drunk per se. We got back to his house and he was throwing a LAN party there. Then his friends decided that they wanted to go to the little carnival that was in town, so he asked me if I wanted to go. I said sure. As soon as we got there, he started showing me all the regional drinks (he was very proud) and I had had a very hard day, so screw it, I was getting wasted. For about 1.5 hours, he insisted he could not drink as he had driven his father's car there, but after some time he relented and suddenly had several bottles of Jever out of nowhere. After another hour or so, the sun had finally completely set and he asked me if he could take me somewhere. I told him sure. So we walked for some distance away from the carnival. He helped me over a fence and we walked over the dike to a beach on the Weser. It was incredible. Night was warm, the moon almost full and high in the sky, we were both alone and feeling pretty good. We had some entertaining conversation. He asked me how I spoke English all the time because it was so hard.:bonk::rofl: I laughed and we kissed for the first time. He asked if we had to have sex. HAHAHAHAHA! #######, no?! I almost pissed myself then from laughing so hard. So then we spent the rest of the night talking about everything and nothing. The sun started to rise and we had sobered up, so walked back to the car and went back to his house. After that, we were nearly inseparable the rest of the time I was in Germany.
