Does anyone have a sample letter of what the employer letter should look like? Or how I should direct my employer in writing this letter?

I submitted my welcome letter which included my date of hire, my salary and my position. Remember, an employment letter is not required, but your employer should be able to provide one on company letterhead. What they really look at is the tax transcripts.

Employer letter for interview:

It helps to also obtain a letter confirming the U.S. citizen sponsor's employment. Here is a sample letter, which you can show the employer when making this request:

This is misleading. Tax transcripts or tax returns are for documenting past income. Employer letters and/or pay stubs are for documenting current income. One does not substitute for the other. The only time tax data documents current income is when the sponsor is self employed.

Personally, I prefer using a current pay stub, instead of an employer letter, for documenting current income.
