We had the first part of the medical this morning and the xray is all clear, which is to be expected, but still good. This afternoon is the physical and blood draw. Then a few hours later we start driving to Sweden for our interview tomorrow morning. :o

Panic has totally set in and I keep pinching myself to see if I'm dreaming.

I'm still Jelly.

Also, I'm secretly paranoid about the medical.

Like there's going to be something secretly wrong idk about.

Actually, I think my biggest fear is my husband's body.

He's covered in random scars that I'm afraid the doctor will think were some undisclosed illness.

Paranoiiiiiiiiiid.

I've always though the medical was just a formality. I think the one here is done by an allergy doctor. Now, I know that all doctors get the same basic training, but an allergist seems like an interesting choice.

I'm all worried that the syphilis test will take a long time to come back, I think that is one of the downsides to having the medical so close to the interview.

I won't breathe a sigh of relief until we are in America.

My had our interview today. That was a scary experience. It is butt bitingly cold in Sweden compared to Denmark right now and even with our winter gear on we were freezing waiting outside. We went through security, got into the waiting room and right up to the first counter that took all of our documents since we had skipped the NVC they needed everything you would normally submit to them. Then we waited and my husband was called up for his interview. I could hear his answers but not the questions. The CO asked about when we met, why I hadn't really been working, what I was studying, what he was studying and doing for work, when we had visits, how long we lived together before getting married, when was our marriage, if my family had ever come to visit, and then he tried to trip up my husband by using my mother's name instead of mine (or it was a genuine mistake) but my husband corrected him.

Then on the way out I see he has a paper in his hand and I glanced down and saw 212(g). I practically fainted right then and there. Then I saw that it was because they hadn't received the medical results yet and would issue the visa when they did. Meltdown averted!
