I thought I would start a thread to keep up to date on progress.

I sent our package today November 1, 2012 from Denmark by Express mail and using a foreign address. *fingers crossed that they take pity on my depressed American soul and fast track us*

I'm actually a little worried, but I'm sure it will be fine. I sent my package via what postDenmark calls Express, but now that I've thought about it, I'm not sure that it is anything like American express mail. I sent it to the physical address rather than the PO Box. I hope it will be ok.

Any more November filers?

My package still hasn't been delivered yet.

They just sent me a notice that my I-129F has been approved even though I cancelled it. Grrrrr.

Yup, another November filer here.

We sent our package on the fifth, by courier and it arrived at the Chicago Lockbox yesterday morning (Nov 7). I'm curious to see how long everything will take. I'm lucky, though, because my husband and I live together (abroad) and don't have to be separated during the process.

Have you been able to figure out if your package has been delivered yet?

I have a blog!

Well, I am regretting sending it by express mail at this point as it is still sitting in the Chicago sorting facility about a week after being sent. However, it did clear customs last night, so there is some hope.

At least I know that I didn't get an RFEs with the I-129F petition, so there is good news. However, I'm unsure if we sent enough evidence of a bonafide marriage. I think because it is Denmark, they'll go light on us, but you never know. For the I-129F I just submitted maybe 2 pages of proof we had met? Two pictures and boarding passes. This time I submitted our marriage certificate, daughter's enrolment in school with both of our names, two pictures of us as a family, a facebook status from my MIL welcoming us into the family (with lots of comments/likes), pictures of our door/mailbox/apartment buzzer with our names on it, and copies of mail and package notices addressed to us at this address. That is way more than last time, so I'm hoping it'll be ok.

So is this what I should expect?

A week or 2 from now, I should get an NOA1?

Do they mail that AND email me that? I submitted the E-Form.

Do they also mail that to my husband up in canada, or just me in the states?

then 4 5 6 7 months from now, someone decides i'm legit and sends me an NOA2?

Is there anything I should do between the NOA1 and NOA2?

Should I be checking status of anything? Or just waiting not so patiently?

At least with the I-129F I filed the NOA1 came in the mail about a week after they received it. They will mail and e-mail only the petitioner (USC) for both NOA1 and NOA2. They cashed the check about 3 days after getting it.

After the NOA1 no one touched my file for about 6 months. I suppose you could check the case status on the website every once and a while, but supposedly the NBC case numbers are not working online.

I'll be collecting the paperwork for the next step - tax transcripts and making sure we have all the original documents if needed.

NESBIT signed for my paperwork this morning

In that NOA1, there will be a case number?
