Hello everyone,

Yesterday I received a text and also an email from USCIS telling me my case was recived and being sent to Vermont. They are mailing the I-797 form to my house. I know the I-797 form has the recipt number and other imformation I can use to log into the USCIS web site in order to track the progress of my I-129F form. Other than that what do I do with the I-797 form? I do not see anything where my finance will need to take it to her interview or anything else. Thanks in advance for your reply and input.

That I-797 is your first Notice Of Action...aka NOA1 !

Use the receipt number on that notice to check the status or progress of your petition on the USCIS website.

You can also register on the same website to receive updates.

Good luck to you

Agreed. Other then following your case - just file it (keep everything!). Your fiance will not need it.

Keep everything to document your file, and congratulations on moving along.

To be accurate, you should be receiving a Form I-797c, Notice of Action.
