Thanks alot for all the information. I have hired a lawyer for this case. She has handled many of these type of case. Most of the people who I know had positive experience with her before. therefore, I am hoping she will not be making any error. but for now she has asked me to forward (via mail or I can drop it off) following documents while its making it to NVC please let me know if i need to have any other document ready just incase:

1. Embassy filing fee of $318

3. Certified copy of Nahal’s birth certificate with certified translation

4. Certified copy of marriage contract with certified translation

5. A copy of her passport – every page, cover to cover

6. Completed questionnaire with Nahal’s information

7. Your 2010, 2011, 2012 federal income tax transcripts – please follow this link to the IRS website to obtain your official tax transcripts. http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Order-a-Transcript

8. Your 4 most recent pay stubs or letter verifying employment and salary

9. If you need joint sponsor – I will need the following:

a. 2010,2011,2012 tax transcripts

b. 4 most recent paystubs or letter verifying employment and salary

c. Proof of green card or US citizen status

Also one more question: I have already order my federal income tax transcripts. it has been 3 days and as of yet i m still waiting on it to be delivered. My question is can I submit my 3 years of tax returns instead of tax transcripts?

Thank You!

Yes, you can. NVC will accept them but i know some consulates (such as Ghana) will only accept transcripts. It may take between 1-2 weeks to get the transcripts from IRS, so i think you are fine.

So guyz one good new. I called NVC to findout if my file has been transferred yet. And they said they received it on October 8, 2013. The file was entered into the system same day. Soon she said you will start receiving documents.

Can someone tell me whats next? Please?

Jealous! Your file was approved the day after mine and when I call the NVC and tell them my USCIS receipt number all I get is the standard "it can take up to 8 weeks"....frustrating!!

Mine is not at NVC either. Mine was approved on Oct 1st. They told me it will take up to 14 business days when I called them yesterday. I will call them next week and see if it is there. The customer service person told they receive them in batches.

Hi guys, dont worry. I am sure your files got to NVC. And yes, they do process them in batches (most recent approvals are normally on top of the batch- from Atlanta). It may take a few days for NVC to log your files into their system before the reps can see them as received. You can call later tonight (10-11:30PM EST) to check, but i am very sure your files will be in their system by mid next week.

First time caller to NVC and there could not have been a nicer person on the other side.

They indeed had received our approval pretty much one week after approval and had already sent the lawyers request for payment and the package, but we had not yet been informed by the lawyers- More than a week lost ...WHAT?????

Praying that everything we have provided will be correct and enough the firs ttime it is sent to NVC.

You can pay fees online here https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx

You need your Case, and Invoice ID numbers to access the online payment portal.

Good luck.

I received my NOA2 on the 1st of October and I'm still waiting for my case to be received by the NVC...how long should I wait before calling the USCIS to see if it's been sent yet?

Maree, mine was also approved on Oct 1st. I just called NVC (Oct 23rd 5:50 PM EST ) and they have not received it yet. I will call them again next week. After 30 days, if they have not received it then I will email them at NVCINQUIRY@state.gov and enquire. I hope NVC receives it soon.

High5 any luck about your case if NVC received it? we got Noa2 Sept. 24 and NVC received our case October 22. The lady told me that it will be on their system within 10-20 days before we will have our case number. Huh! another journey of waiting and more patience needed. I will call again this Friday. Today is our 1st wedding anniversary and still apart. we might just have a toast tonight on Skype to celebrate our anniversary.
