Hello all,

So my husband has an interview in 6 days, and I am so so nervous. Does anyone have any advice for him? Any what-so-ever?

Your help is very much appreciated!

Big hugs!

Don't be worried if there is nothing in your case to worry about and you've been honest with them. Be sure to bring copies of everything you've submitted along with additional evidence of the relationship they may not have or may request from you all. They also may not look at it but it's better to be safe than sorry. Read the Embassy reviews for Egypt and get an idea of what questions will be asked and be prepared for most anything. Hopefully it will go smoothly. Sending you my best wishes on your upcoming interview!

Good luck! Please try to remember as much questions as possible from what they ask and share it with us-- plus if there was anything memorable about the interviewer. We have several posts through out this forum where people review their interviews. I find them most helpful. I think also, not to far down, there is a discussion on what kind of questions they may ask. From what I gather-- be prepared for everything and be annoyingly thorough with your answers.

Thanks Dr. A&O

There is nothing in my case to really worry about. We are just so ready for this process to be over. I remember my father (Egyptian) telling me that back in 1970 it was alot easier to come to the USA. As a matter of fact during that time 40 of my dad's family members immigrated with-in a 5 year period of time. By 1980, most of his family memebers were here (with the few exceptions of uncles/aunts who didnt want to leave there business's). I really wish the immigration process was easier. Like the good ol days. It seems like now-a-days everything is heavely scrutinized. Which is understandable that the system changes, I just never thought it would change to this degree. We will definetly be bringing copies of everything (including more proof of our relationship). I guess I am extremely lucky I got to visit him 3 times in the last year - period of time. I am really thank-ful for that. I have read the reviews, but they make me more nervous especially those dreaded words "AP". Of course anyone wants to have a straight approval with-out AP, but looking at how long people wait in AP is just mind blowing. Thank-you for your wishes by the way, we need them

Good luck!!! :)

Thank you Mr. Mounir!

TogethorForever13,

Wow you helped me out a ton! I definetly do not have 1 red flag at all. That makes me feel way way better! Those are some hard red flags to overcome too!

I did send pictures (many) from our Wedding in Egypt and other pictures throughout the years.

I also sent notarized letters (Affidavits of a Bona fide Marriage) from people who attended our wedding and my parents who traveled to Egypt for our wedding.

I feel pretty confident now! Thanks a billion!

You are very welcome.

I am sure he will do great!

Tell him to be confident and look them in the eyes-even if it is a woman

Speak calmly at all times even if theysay something demeaning

Soon he will be with you in the USA

Christians do not seem to have AP as much as Muslims.

Common AP names are Mohamed, Ali, Ahmed

But some Ahmeds, Mohameds did not get AP so I do not think there is any rhyme or reason to Cairo!!

I pray for a visa in 10 days for him

Good Luck
