Comments : Entry was fairly easy. Luckily he arrived on Tuesday at Tom Bradley International Terminal and the Immigration Department was not so busy. He spent alittle more than an hour going through immigration. They took his un-opened envelope and processed it. They took him to get his bags and then he had to wait until they finished doing what they had to do. Overall it was good

Embassy Review : Joseph's interview was scheduled on 11/01/2012 @ 7:30am, he arrived to the US Embassy at 6:13am. He got in a single line until security came out and seperated Non-Immigration from Immigration. When he arrived he was the 20th person there. When they seperated the line he was the 3rd person inline for Immigration. At 7:07am they asked them to prepare there Interview Letter to be shown at the door for entry. He entered the Embassy at 7:10am. He told me that he went through to security and they checked him for anything forbidden. He turned in his cell phone because electronic devices are not allowed. After passing through security he was told to make 2 lefts around the building. He was given a number (603). He was called with-in 25 minutes of waiting. The Egyptain lady asked him to speak in Arabic and she asked him for his Passport, Passport Photo's, Medical Exam, and Interview Letter. She them reviewed them and asked him: "How did we meet each other"? She never offered to give him the original documents back. She them told him to go to the Cahier (Clerk) to pay the DHL fee (75LE). Once he paid the fee, he sat down again and waited to see the counsler (CO). Another 30 to 35 minutes later his number was called to Window Number (14). The Interviewer was a man in his mid 30's. He did not give Joseph any eye contact at all and just looked at his PC the entire time. He asked him a few questions: "How did we meet"? "What do I do for a living"? "If we have ever been married before"? "If he has ever been to the USA before"? Then he asked him for pictures from our wedding/ceremony/studio/reception. Which he viewed for a total of 30 seconds. He then asked to take copies of his fingerprints and asked him to sign the form DS-230 (Part 2). He also never offered to give him our originals back. After that he told him that he has been Approved with no AP, and he will receive his visa in 10 days. After that he took the approval letter, said thank-you and left.

Overall, he said it went well and they were nice to him
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
