Hi,

The US Embassy has approved my expedited processing request. But my mom has to wait for 2 months for the sputum culture result. :crying::crying::crying::crying: I'm thinking of ways on how to get my mom here faster. I've read in the CFO website that the visa is required for the registration. She doesn't need to go to the seminar anymore because she's over 60. My question is, has anybody over here ever tried to get the CFO sticker prior getting the visa? I want her to fly over here the day after she picks up her visa from 2GO. My due date is on Dec. 23. I want my mom here before I give birth so she can stay with my 2-year old. :help:

pretty sure she'll need to register and have visa in her passport.

I know that's what the website says like I've mentioned in my original post. I just want to find out if anybody else has tried getting one and succeeded without the visa or if anybody has tried and has been turned down. :D

Their website states clearly that they need a copy of the visa/passport before issuing the sticker. I know my wife had to bring a copy the bio page/visa page along with her passport before they would issue the sticker.

You could call CFO but I doubt you will hear what you are wanting to hear.

She's exempted but I believe it requires a proxy on her behalf to register and it appears that she'll need the passport with a visa to get the sticker.

I think It just the same case with my daughter, cuz she is 7y/o and I only registered her at CFO

what I did, went to CFO Main Office, brought her Passport/Visa with 1 copy each, then 1 copy of her

Immigrant Data Summary, and other additional supporting documents like a Copy of School ID, copy of her

Person with Disability ID, a copy of her Birth Certificate and Baptismal. and also I just fill up the

PDF Form at the CFO website instead of filling up from the CFO office.

CFO won't give you the sticker if you cannot present your passport with valid visa.

i've seen people attending the pdos first then come back on a later date for the sticker.

It took my wife about 30 minutes before she came back out of CFO with the sticker, I was waiting outside.

May isang Vj'ers dito na parents niya pumunta sa cfo para makuha ang sticker. Pina pauwi at pinagsabihan nababalik na lang sila pag may visa on hand na daw.

(I have read one of the member here on VJ that both her parents went to cfo office and was told to come back once the visa is on hand)
