Hello all. I was just about to start a thread on this issue. I'm in the same boat as some of you. My petition for my wife was transferred to Missouri from California on Sept 21. I'm hoping it reduces the processing time. I received the hard copy for it a few days ago. Which brings me to another question. I never received the initial hard copy of them receiving my package. I've called and asked if I can get another one, they said no. I'm just saving all my papers and want to know if I will need that hard copy in the future?

My wife is Romanian by the way. I met her while I was stationed in Italy. Missing her more and more everyday :(

We know how you feel. Missing your loved one is natural. I miss my husband a lot but I know I have to bear the pain of the waiting game. :(

this is not going to require you to do an interview. I got in touch with a friend who has a friend who works in a USCIS office in NY she said that this is normal processing and they are balancing workloads because of a large amount of petitions recieved last month. I was worried too but now I feel much better. Lets stay in touch and if you hear anything let me know and I will do the same :)

Yep, they just send applications to NBC since the Service Centers are backlogged. like in my case, CSC. but since there is no processing time of I-130 at NBC the USCIS officer i talked to said, i follow the processing time for my ORIGINAL service center, CSC is 5 MONTHS. but since I am a USC living abroad, still hoping for the Auto expedite que. :)

So, some nice fellow members of VisaJourney also posted this link http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=c3c7ca7c5fed9310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=e7801c2c9be44210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD where it explains our situation. I think some of you may have already seen this link, but I'm posting it in my topic so others can see too. :)

no mina dont be worried mine was transfered too. i sent it august 17. noa1 on august 22' then august 30 was transferd to nbc and that was the last time i got noticed from them.

basically every petition that was filed after august 15 will be transfered to nbc. maybe for faster processing because csc is all backed up they need the extra help from nbc so its faster. theres a link to that info somewhere

I got the same letter for an I-130. Found info on the USCIS site that many of the cases submitted in August and September are being farmed out to the NBC and other offices.

They say that this is to balance the workload at all the offices.

Yup! That's why we're all a lot less stressed since it doesn't mean we are expecting USC interviews. So, let's hope we get approved soon! :)

I have no idea if my case is at NBC or local. I did not get an email stating it is at local just at USCIS location being processed. But many people' s apps have been sent to local office. I do not know if this is good or bad sign.

Well, as far as I know, the cases that are being transferred to NBC are to relieve the workloads in the other centers. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=c3c7ca7c5fed9310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=e7801c2c9be44210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD This was the link other members posted earlier explaining that. You should have gotten some sort of notification if your case was transferred as to where it was transferred to. If not, you can try calling and asking the location of your case and the status (ask for a tier 2 ISO).

my notice says it is being processed at a USCIS office. As soon as I can I will call and ask for a tier 2 rep and see if they can tell me what office it went to or is it at the NBC so then we will know if some are going to USCIS office and others to NBC.
