My fiance is about to go to her medical exam, problem is she has had some kind of cold this past week and she still has some congestion in her chest and nasal passages. So will this make her unable to get the x-ray or other testing done and would they make her come back to retake the exam, or will it not interfere with the testing she needs?

We're just wondering if she should wait to travel to Manila to do the testing, or if she can go through with it by Tuesday. Thanks in advance!

I advice to her to take a medication first and visit your private doctor to provide medicine for her...Once she feel better then she can go to St.Luke's for her medical examination..

I won't risk especially Medical. having cough, colds, flu might end up having Sputum Exam. So better rest till gets well,

let her take medicine and take multivitamins, if she can find a nebulizer its good to clear out lungs

(2x a day session till her 1st day of Medical)ask her to eat more veggies and fruits, skip those oily food and avoid

sweets, frozen food and drinks for the mean time till she gets and pass her medical.

when is her Interview anyways?

Personally, I don't see a problem with going ahead and getting the medical as planned. Maybe, take a antihistamine before hand. A cold is very common. However, there could be questions about any congestion. Take it now or wait, it is a personal choice.

Best of luck,

Sid

I agree it is really a matter of personal choice. When I had my medical exam I had a cold. Despite this my x-ray was fine. I passed my medical. Tell her to bring a jacket or coat coz it's kinda chilly inside St Lukes. Bring water & antihistamine too. Good luck! good.gif

My fiance's interview is October 10th, so she would have some time to do the medical exam another time before then. If she isn't feeling much better by Tuesday, it will probably be best to delay the exam.

She's getting better rather quickly though, so we're not too worried about it now. Thanks everyone!

I Agree it is a Matter of Personal choice.BUT if it was my Fiancee taking the Medical, i err on the side of caution and have her see her Doctor, take meds, relax, and take Plenty of fluids. But I wouldnt chance that medical! Good Luck!
