Hi, ALL! I am kinda new here, but I have a quick question. I called the NVC this morning and found out my husbands appointment is on October 12. Do I need to be there with him or can he go by himself? Will there be any effect on the outcome if I don't attend?

If you can be there with him sure that will be great, at least for moral support, but know you might be waiting outside for him because some embassy don't allow the US spouse inside

Good luck to you both good.gifgood.gif

PS- Please how long did you wait to get an appointment from NVC, alot of us have been waiting for a date for a long time now

Juarez will not let you attend - nobody is allowed to accompany an interviewee, not even a lawyer, the only exceptions being assistance for elderly, disabled, or minors. They will direct you to wait outside. However I have heard some people say they were asked if their fiancee was in the city. If you go, you can give your fiance your ID as proof that you're there outside waiting for him.

I am 99% sure I will not be able to be there. We don't even have an NOA2 yet (NOA1 of 3/1/12). I'm hoping to get an interview before Christmas but it's looking worse & worse. :(

Good luck with the interview....

I guess that depends on a lot of stuff, since ours was closed on August 17, and I am still waiting for an interview appointment

Was yours a special case, expedited or something like that? I'm just asking because many of us waiting on interviews are hoping yours is a regular case and you are the "kick off" to the remainder of interviews being scheduled! Thanks and Congratulations!!!
