hey everyone Today I got an email from the Immigration Service Officer

Thank you for your inquiry. On August 23, 2012 an Immigration Service Officer from the California Service Center responded to your service request by informing you that the petitioners A file is required to complete the processing of this petition. We have requested the A-file from our File Storage Facility. Once the file is received, we will complete the adjudication of this case. If you do not receive a decision within 60 days of this inquiry, please contact csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov. Thank you very much.

umm does anyone know whats an A-file? and from whom did they required it?

does that mean I'm about to get a decision?

The A number is your Alien registration number. It mentions the petitioner, is the petitioner an American born citizen? Usually a US born citizen will not have a number.

When you arrived in the US, were you issued an A-number? You definitely should have been. They are just trying to trace your identity back to when you arrived I guess. The A-number helps them do that. Good luck!

thanks please pray for me it's been a year and i'm waiting to get a response

Are you saying you filed a year ago and there hasn't even been an interview yet? Which stage are you at? Any red flags?
