No that would be no problem if she waits to come back when she gets NOA2. And as long as you call NVC in a years time your case stays active. So like when you get your case number that keeps it alive. Just keep them notified now and than when you are ready to go forward all will be ready for you. You can pay anytime though once you get case# and get invoiced. God Bless in the job search. I know how that is I left my husband in Nigeria last year to come back and find work also. I had the same situation no co-sponsor.

Well my AOS package has been submitted to NVC I see no issue with it being accepted. Will find out this week.

Coming back to US after 6 1/2 months in Nigeria was hard. I was gone March 17, 2011 to September 27th, 2011. I got hired just this past July 9th, 2012.

Since I was gone most of last year and only made $4200 in unemployment I did a cover letter of explaination. I submitted my last 4 years tax transcripts and explained each year even though I meet way above the poverty guidelines I did not work a full year since 2007. But my current job is more than enough and I am sure will satisfy any CO.

I did submit an employment letter with my salary and title and date of hire. Pay-stub was most current. When my husband has interview he will have the most current pay-stub. Always updating that pile.

I understand your hesitance because we are in same position. I didn't even file out petition until March. So 6 months after returning from Nigeria and 10 months after marriage we filed. I just had faith and hope something would happen. And on the day we got out NOA2 (3 months later) I got the call I was hired. So hang in their its all going to work out. Pray and God will make it happen for you. Do not give up hope okay.

I need to remind everyone that when you are posting in the Immigration forums you need to post in English only. If you wish to post in your native language, then you need to restrict your comments to your regional forum. We have people from all around the world who consult this site for information and advice. English is the language they all have in common so we need to keep any information posted in the immigration forums as accessible as possible. If you wish to send a personal message in your native tongue, please use the PM function instead of posting in the public forums.

Thank you for your cooperation.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

This table gives you the poverty guidelines. The amount you've listed should be enough, but buy the time your wife gets here in 2013 she won't be able to file taxes with that job until 2014. She needs to get a letter from her employer detailing her salary. It really seems that a co-sponsor would be beneficial.
