Hello :) I think it is better you don't wait for St. Lukes to reschedule your interview so you can get an early interview schedule. I had an advanced medical at St. Lukes. I was treated for minimal ptb 6 years ago and it left a small scar on my upper right lung. I read on VJ that even though it is a lung scar, the applicant still needs to undergo the dreaded sputum test and it is advisable to have an advanced medical to save time. (Thank you VJ members.) After the pulmonary evaluation, I asked the medical technologist if it is okay for my fiance and me to schedule my interview by ourselves. She said yes. My sputum culture result will be released in October and we scheduled my interview 3 weeks ago.

i was there 2days ago for evaluation. said im positive. they want me sign DOTS paper to start treatment. i not signed becoz i was treated sept 2011, i had my medical cert from private physician. they had my data since last year, bcoz i was there oct 2011 then finished culture dec 2011. My medical was expired so need to get new one last month for new sputum test. Doubtful, dr. dont know what to put on data becoz she read i was negative and treated. She want to retreatment and i said NO, i was treated. then she say wait culture. if culture positive need retreatment. So, done there, i gave folders to asst. Here again. I wait 30 mins to give me small paper. but she gave me form to start treatment. (DOTS paper). Obviously, she dont know what to do. I asked her why gave me that form? I was so upset but i stay calm. Yesterday i went to my private doctor where i was treated. he said retreatment is not necessary. KAINIS DIBA? GALING AKO SA KANILA LAST YEAR, EXPIRED LANG. TAPOS NGAUN GUSTO NILA AKONG PAULITIN. KAKAGIGIL. TUYUIN BA NILA UTAK NG PASYENTE. ALAM BA NILA GINAGAWA NILA?

St. Luke's has to abide by guidelines laid out by USEM for medical, they are not going to care what your personal physican says. St. Luke's whats its on their records before they will pass your medical. No approved medical from St. Luke's, no visa.

It is True what Hank says.St. Lukes has guidelines laid out to them from the USEM. It is incumbent on St. Lukes to go by the USEM Guidelines. The medical has to be approved by them before a Visa is issued. Good Luck!

hello day! hehe, i'm your friend from our adventure at st.luke's...murag kaila na ka...surprised ko nakita ka nako diri but i'm sure it's you because of your username. anyway, my advice is that you better schedule your own appointment and just make sure it is after september 16 (your schedule for sputum culture result). :-)

I spoke to staff at St. Lukes. They informed me they see the exact same calendar we see when we go online. They do not get "priority" slots or the like. If the applicant is expedited in response to a successful petition, then there may be more slots open, but those would be visible to the applicant online and to St. Lukes. Essentially St. Lukes is just able to log in to the web page as you.
