I filed my I-765 after filing my I-485, ive done biometrics already, but I have had to send in alot of RFE's , i got a I-797c notice of action, how long should it take for work me permit to come? oh by the way my i-485 case is still pending does this affect me getting my work permit?

The work authorization is usually approved in about 2 to 3 months. The I-485 usually takes a lot longer than that, so my guess is that your I-485 will still be pending by the time your work authorization (Employment Authorization Document, or EAD as we say here) will be approved.

K-1 Visa Timeline AOS Timeline

- Aug 31st, 2011 - Mailed I-129F package - May 29th, 2012 - Mailed AOS/EAD/AP package

- Apr 13th, 2012 - Visa received - Aug 24th, 2012 - Green Card received

ROC Timeline

- May 19th, 2014 - Mailed ROC package to CSC

- Aug 8th, 2014 - Green Card received

N-400 Timeline

- Dec 29th, 2021 - Filed online. Got notice that biometrics will be reused.

- Now waiting...

You mean EAD? employment authorization usually takes 60-70 days after filing. and it does not affect your aos pending status.

you might, might not.

I know someone who got AP in about 3 weeks. They applied for it after the biometrics.

but, you never know...

But biometrics are not needed for AP.
