Hey Karen, I haven't posted in ages. Last time I did I got slammed for being inpatient and what not as so many people seem to be doing on here lately. But I just wanted to tell you I know where your at and I'm as frustrated as you both. Our case was transferred to CSC on September 14th and has not been touched. I haven't recieved even and email that it was received at CSC yet, and on the USCIS site the status still says it was sent to CSC for processing not even pending as alot of others do. I called in November to do the change of adddress thing and they said so ####### about they where waiting on biometrics to be sent to do anything but I had that done September 16th and since I got my EAD back in November I know that they have to have them. So right now I don't even know where it is or what's being done it could be in Hong Kong for all I know and that 800 number is a bloodly joke. Oh well!!! looks like I just need to sit here and wait for them to decide I am an actual person and have pity on me and do something. I am regretting not applying for AP but at the time things looked like they were speeding up and I thought we'd have a green card by now so I didn't. Live and learn. Just wanted to say hi to Joel and you and hope you, him and your daughter had a great christmas and a happy new year. Hang in there..................... And Joel I'm not working yet either but at least it's because of other peoples mistakes not USCIS. I have to wait on the school in Halifax where I did my nursing training to send me some transcripts and stuff to get licensed here, been waiting on them since September, should make you feel a bit better knowing it's not just the USCIS that a nit wits.

I am trying really really hard to understand this. We have been patient. Really though, I am not complaining or griping. I just don't understand how some people are getting approved so quickly from NOA1 to approval, even *with* RFE's. Sometimes I wonder if this is what's making things so hard for Joel to find a job, not having the GC. Lemme tell ya, we live in the backwoods of nowhere and I don't think anyone here knows how to research anything about employing immigrants who are legally able to work. *sigh*

OK...maybe this was a bit of a rant.

We're right here with you (and thanks for the props Jenny). I don't like to complain since there are a few who have waited a good bit longer, but seeing people complaining when they filed in November and December pisses me off (sorry, it's nothing personal to those who complain, you'd feel the same way if you were in our position!). I'm certainly not wanting to rush our greencard but we are hoping to get a house in July so I just really hope we get it before then so we can actually get a house and not stay in this sh*tty apartment that I pay good money for but feel like I'm living in some bad neighborhood due to really loud and rude neighbors....sigh. Although, on job news things are looking up, James will have had three interviews this week and the 3 companies really seem to like him, so lets hope for a job offer with lots and lots of money soon!

No one, that I'm aware of. It appears to be almost exclusively K-1 visa holders, with a few K-3 exceptions.

Hey Everyone, it's been so long since I last posted in this thread! Unfortunately I have no good news, I'm still stuck waiting. I was transfered on 14th September and have not been even touched since then. I did call the mis-info line on 19th december to enquire about my case. They told me I am outside of processing times and they would send a service request to the service centre and I should hear back from them within 45 days. That means I should really hear something about my case before 3rd February but I'm not that convinced they'll actually do or tell me anything more. Oh well.....it is a shame that I have an extremely popular name....remind me to name my children something ridiculous so that they have an uncommon name, you never know if it might come in handy later

Hey Freda! It's really great to hear from you We had a great Christmas...our first as a married couple. It seems this horrendous journey (at least it feels this way right now) isn't ever gonna end. Still no job prospects for Joel either. That's depressing. He's sent countless apps out and PROOF that he IS legal to be employed. I think (personally) most employers here don't want to take the time to find out what they need to employ an immigrant. Geez, it's sooooo hard to get their hands on an I-9. (Enter Sarcasm) *sigh*

At least we're with our beloveds as we wait this thing out, eh? Hope you get your information soon so you can get licensed here in the States.

When I called the line on 19th december I spoke to an absolutely lovely woman from the customer services who told me that CSC are processing I-485 that were transfered on the 18th September so I was outside the processing time, so she sent out a service request and told me that CSC has 45 days to tell me something in writing about my case. Oh well we'll see if I ever do actually hear anything back. It's disheartening to know that some people are flying through but oh well.

Today is my 7 month anniversary of moving here and tomorrow is my 6 month wedding anniversary so it's not all bad. I'm making a beach themed dinner (as we got married on the beach) tonight for when the hubby comes home so better dash, but hopefully they'll be some good news for all of us soon!!

Our AOS is moving right along, but to get my hubby here was another story. I felt very frustrated seeing other K-1s get their visa, my hubby had to wait it out. We had Administrative Processing and I thought for awhile that he would never be allowed to come to the US. We just got married in September after all the bull we went through. For whatever reason the immigration process takes awhile it may not be fair but that is the way it is. No logic to it.
