02.02.2005: Sent I-129F to Vermont Service Center

08.08.2005: Successful interview; visa received at 4pm

08.10.2005: Trip to US (Newark Int'l Airport is POE)

AOS Timeline

08.26.2005: Married in State College, Pennsylvania

11.14.2005: AOS and EAD applications received at USCIS

03.10.2006: EAD received (114 days since submission)

06.17.2006: Green card received (241 since submission)

Removal of Conditions Timeline

05.28.2008: Sent I-751 to Vermont Service Center

06.04.2008: NOA1 received

07.05.2008: Biometrics completed in Houston

03.27.2009: Ten year green card approved

Naturalization Timeline

11.09.2009: N-400 package mailed to Lewisville, TX

12.18.2009: Biometrics done in Houston

03.01.2010: Passed interview

04.07.2010: Oath ceremony

We got the green card yesterday as well. Guess we are done till Feb 2008 now. Thanks to all of you and all the best. :thumbs:

Just got an email from USCIS that our case has been approved!!! :dance::dance::dance:

Hope the green cards gets home soon :dancing:

Best of luck to all still waiting... :thumbs:

Current Status: On May 20, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

03/05/08 Check cashed by Californice Service Center not Nebraska!

03/07/08 Got NOA1 Dated 02/27/08

03/15/08 Biometrics Letter rec'd

03/31/08 Biometrics Done

06/03/08 Got Approval Email

06/10/08 Gr. Card Received!

We got our approval today -May 26 - without an interview as well - and less than a month shy of our 2nd wedding anniversary - but we have it, yay! Now we can relax until February 2008 when we can apply to remove conditions.

Would whoever updates this list please update my entry? Thank you so much!

I just found out we got transferred to California as well. We already got our NOA1 as well as an RFE and have done the biometrics thing in Atlanta. So I guess I can add myself to your list...;)

I received 5 (!) e-mails today about our case being transferred to California, but I am not sure whether this really means what I think it means (= that it will stay there and be approved there).

Here's the text:

"On May 23, 2006, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to an office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER for processing. Our office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 to receive information about local office processing times."

Note how it first says that the California Service center will send us a "written decision", but then it says something about the case being transferred to a local office in the next sentence...?? So will the case be approved by the California Service Center without an interview, or will I get an interview invitation letter from the office in Anchorage....?

Could someone maybe shed some light onto this and let me know what to expect next...? I am confused.... :(

After my biometrics were done on May 4 I had almost given up of getting any email, as I was expecting an interview appointment for Miami, but today I got 3 emails saying:

"On May 25, 2006, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to an office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER for processing. Our office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 to receive information about local office processing times."

So I guess I join the list too and wait and see what happens next.

I went ahead and checked my email, when I was transferred that was the same email I had been sent. Then I looked at the paper copy they sent me (not everyone gets this it seems) and it does not mention being transferred to a local office.

So I think it would be a safe bet that you may be approved without interview. However I do believe there may have been a case where someone who was transferred did get an interview. In either case I would continue your journey as if you were headed toward an interview, with uscis it's better safe than sorry.

Congrats on the new transfers and approvals. I think the email described by the new transferees is just the new standard message the USCIS is using so you can probably expect to have the same experience as most transferees (i.e. approval without an interview). However, as Chocolaterie said, it never hurts to be fully prepared.

I suspect the reason they changed the email message is because it previously said nothing about the California Service Center. For example, my email said "On March 13, 2006, your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received here for processing." The only way I knew they were talking about California was because it said California Service Center on the letter that they mailed in addition to the email. So like I said, I suspect this is just new wording of the same old message to CSC transferees.

I mean, I do have enough evidence etc. in case there is going to be an interview after all, but it sure would be nice not to have to go through that experience :yes:

WEll no more online update/change in status since 19th May BUT I've just come home and there was a message on the answermachine from CSC. They simply said that they would phone me back tomorrow - that it's in relation to my daughter's AOS ... ohhhh Im feeling very, very sick ..... has this happened to anyone else?????

Having listened very carefully to the message again - she did say at the end of the message " ... I'll try and call you back tomorrow to save time".

Save time??? Sounds ominous to me ....

I've just received emails for both myself and my daughter to say that a "Welcome Letter" was sent to us yesterday. At last!! Also wondering now if we'll get the ten year card and not the two one as I'm three months past our second wedding anniversary.

I'm also hoping that we'll get the green card for my daughter before she leaves for hte UK on 19 June - she has advance parole but I really don't want any complications on her return on 28 July ..
