EXPIRATION OF CENOMAR & SCAN DOCs.?

hello VJ's...!!

My CENOMAR is dated oct. 2011 and my interview is this coming sept. 7, 2012. My fiancee send me his W2,taxes,divorce papers etc. but until now i haven't receive it.

MY QUESTIONS:

1.) Do i need to get a new CENOMAR?

2.) Is it OK if i will bring SCAN documents on my INTERVIEW?

ARE ANYONE HERE WHO've Tried bringing scan docs in ther interview?!!

cenomar is just valid for 6 mos and scan documents I am not so sure if its accepted coz what I have read is bring all the ORIGINALS....

Yes you need to get a new Cenomar, as far as I know, Cenomar is valid for only 6 months.

I have a friend who was done with her interview and she just brought a scanned copy of 1040 and W2.. Keep in mind that I134 should be in original copy.. For divorce decree, I think scanned copy is okay but you still might be needing the original once the CO ask for it for reference..

Btw, can't you track the documents online?

I have a friend who was done with her interview and she just brought a scanned copy of 1040 and W2.. Keep in mind that I134 should be in original copy.. For divorce decree, I think scanned copy is okay but you still might be needing the original once the CO ask for it for reference..

:thumbs: thats better, maybe she can have the divorce decree original anyway she might bring it back to US when she flies and is it true that scanned copy of 1040 and W2 is okay to bring to the interview... well im quiet confused here lols its better to ask than taking it seriously lols

Yup scanned copies of 1040 and W2 are okay.. As I've said, a friend of mine was now done with her interview and she only brought scanned copies of 1040 and w2. But of course every CO is different so if you have doubts about it just bring the originals for your peace of mind. I was just saying this to help the starter of this thread coz she said her documents hasn't arrived yet.

1) Yes you need a new one.

2) Copies of documents such as W2, returns, divorce decree and such are just fine.

I Have read on VJ where some People present copies of documents such as Divorce Decrees with no problems and I have read where some People present Copies of Divorce Decrees and have gotten a 221G for the originals,I guess depending on the CO i would imagine or some other Factors I am not privy to. In any event I front loaded my Petition with copys of the originals and my Fiancee was never asked at the interview for ANY Divorce Papers what so ever. She was armed with originals and copies. So you be the judge, I would say be ready for the Unexpected.......
