Is there anyone here who filed cr1 visa here in hongkong? Any idea about getting police clearance, medical and interview?

My gal,a Filipina, and I filed the K1 visa process in HK. For her, in order to get the police clearance and medical she needed the USA consulate interview letter/email. Getting the police clearance is a very easy process, take the interview letter (copy) to the local HK police station, pay the fee, and the police clearance letter will be mailed to the USA embassy in HK. Also, the medical process is the same. There were, then, two medical clinics/doctors that did USA medicals. Make an appointment, take the interview letter (copy) with you, and you can get the medical taken care of. As my gal took the AOS here in the USA, I would advise you to get copies of the medical to present to the USCIS civil surgeon/doctor for the I-693 (forgive me if I get it wrong, it was so long ago). Copies of your medical will make it much easier for the AOS. Also, you might want your gal to go to the local county health department for any vaccinations/updates after she gets to the USA.

Just my personal experience.

Regards,

Sid

The NVC will not ask for a police clearance. Once your case passed through NVC it will be forwarded to the US Embassy in HK, when your husband gets the packet 3 from the Embassy he will be asked to go to Wan Chai to get the No Conviction Certificate from the HK Police. Hope this helps!

Good luck!

Tnx JS&PL, actually im the applicant, a filipina working here in hongkong. My hubby and i are waiting for the IIN so he can pay fkr the AOS.

AOS is , if you were here already, Just wait for the USA General Consulate Hongkong letter to process & Where to go, they will send it to you, about Police Clearance , they are also the one will send you a letter to do it , once you received, just go to the police Station near you, bring your Hongkong ID & the Letter from USA Consulate, the results , you don't need to wait , the police , are the one will send the results of your record to USA Consul, same as in Medical, the USA Consul ,also will send you a letter Where to go, the difference in police Clearance, you have to pick Up you Own Medical Results , and bring it to the USA Consul, on your next appointment date.

all you have to do is to follow all the process , they want you to do. Good Luck.

Incorrect, the OP is applying for a CR-1 visa; for spousal visa applicants, the NVC will in fact ask for civil documentation, including police clearance. The Consulate in HK will not be sending the OP a packet 3.

K1 visa procedures and CR-1 visa procedures are different processes and not interchangeable.

Affidavit of Support that they need is not from any attorney from there !! this Form I-864 will fill up & signed by your so called husband, then he must send the original to you using USPS/any delivering company,he can get/ download this form ,from wwww.uscis.gov, you must have it during your Interview to get the Visa Approved.about employer it depends to an employer employee status,.
