Cool. Call back, get an ISO this time.

ISO - http://www.dhs.gov/files/publications/gc_1305658440339.shtm

Thank you for that information. :)

That will be our next step, unless our approval magically appears!

I received a RFE (for my I-130) dated 6-4-12 with a deadline of 8-27-12. After filing my I-130, I found VJ, and based on what I learned here (thanks everyone), I used the RFE to front load my I-130. I sent my response to the RFE back on 8-21-12 (paid for request for signature) and CSC received it on 8-23-12. I received notice from CSC my case was updated on 8-27-12, and checked my case status on the website which confirmed my case was approved :dance::dance:and they mailed my NOA2 on 8-27-12 (still waiting on hard copy as of 8-30-12 ). While it was totally unexpected (since they took so long to send the RFE - my NOA1 was 11-25-11) I give all glory to God for their quick response.:dance::dance: I will add my time line soon.

well, are you calling into USCIS? You should, you know..

at least get an ISO (see ISO - http://www.dhs.gov/files/publications/gc_1305658440339.shtm )

and ask if the RFE material got put INTO the casefile.

when talking to a CSR, tell the CSR you have an RFE and you need to talk with an ISO. If you get grief, remind them it is enough that you ask to be transferred, regardless of what they've been trained to do.

Thanks, Darnell :-)

I called USCIS twice already, and spoke to the 2 tier officer (Although the 1 tier officer didn't want to transfer the call, I insisted).

I said to the ISO " I sent my response to RFE 6 weeks ago, did Vermont office receive it?". They told me VSC ususally don't update this kind of information in the system, so when they check my case, they don't know if VSC has received my response or not...

It is so frustrating!

They should update your case to be "RFE Response Review" as soon as they receive your info and enter it into the system. Did you look at the status of your case on the USCIS website?

It has been 64 days since they received our RFE reply. My fiance phoned USCIS this morning and they issued us a Service Request. We should hear something within 15 days..... apparently.

We are almost at 8 months since our initial I-129F petition... a very frustrating process indeed.

I received an RFE for my husband's ROC at the beginning of August, sent back the ROC at the end of August and we just got approved on 9/14. Received the card today. This is all at CSC though. I know how frustrating this all is, patience is key. I wish you good luck!

Working in Turkmenistan, spouse is with me.

huh? an ISO can see everything.

Are you certain you got an ISO ?

If so, call back, ask again, then ask them to dig deep into page 3 of the screen.
