Anyone know a good affordable way to ship from Vietnam to USA?

OK we have a box that is maybe 70x70x60 cm (a broad guess) weighing 60 to 65 kilos that needs to be shipped to the USA. But how to do it? We cannot find anything online for pricing, other than TNT, a company that wants $900!!!!

Basically, that is way beyond our price range. Not even close to what we can afford.

Anyone have recommendations? The box is in Saigon at the moment.

Take it on the plane. Pay the extra $$ they ask. Sometimes you can get lucky and they don't charge.

Oh sorry that doesn't provide a solution. But it was funny.

Hubby has two rather large boxes (I think we used Dell computer boxes) of comic books in his brothers attic. At least they better still be there....but I digress.

We figure the next time we visit, we'll probably buy a couple of cheap cases at Woolworths and bring them back with us as excess baggage.

Is there anyway she can wait till someone comes for a visit or you two travel back for this stuff?

Well, my the album is really for my mom. She paid for it because she wanted it. But the shipping charges to get it here, with no insurance, are nuts.

Going back to Vietnam is something that we hope happens late Summer of 2007, but it might not be until 2008. There are many important items in that box.

I think Anh needs to talk to her mom and have her take some important small items and send just that one small box.

we used to send a big boxes to usa by air, you can go office next vn post office call VN cargo. It on the Nguyen Du street next to Duc Ba church (sorry i dont remember the address. Will post here if i found the bill). it cost half compared to TNT/UPS?DHL. It took 2 to 3 week to usa . We started with VN cargo and ended with USPS.
