Wow! Congrats Treva!

I know you've been waiting for this for so long too!

Any advice on what else you've done or waiting is the only option?

It seems I am the only one left here from August filers who hasn't got the NOA2 yet, sad.png

By the way, it's exactly 10 MONTHS since my hubby filed the petition.

Hi Mrs. Rai,

Is your file in Atlanta? If so, it seems they will process it very soon, otherwise send you a notice very soon that they had to transfer it out again because they could not handle the workload. The only thing you can do other than wait is to contact your senator/congressman's office. I do believe that the filers who got their NOA2s first from the Atlanta office were the ones who contacted their senators/congressman. It doesn't cost you anything to try.

The dates in your signature are confusing, and did you say in another post that your case is in Baltimore? The timeframe all depends on where your casefile was transferred to. Unfortunately, the Atlanta office was collecting I-130s for several months before starting to decide how to deal with them.

10 months is a very long time to wait. I know just how you feel!

Hi Treva!

Our case has a VSC number and we were notified that it was transferred to NBC then was later on transferred to Atlanta based on the info given to my husband when he went for an infopass last June 4 (it was our 3rd anniversary that we were't able to celebrate together).

We didn't receive any notice that it has been transferred to Atlanta.

By the way, my husband is from Baltimore. We already contacted the senator's office but no result still.

yah, we've been waiting this long. We just look forward to celebrating Christmas together this year. Hopefully!!

hi!

I've seen your posts too :(

You've been waiting longer than we are. It's nice to see "approval posts" but somehow it's also frustrating that many of them filed way way long after us.

It'll be a year for you next month, I do hope that you also receive your NOA2 soon.

As on thier site its showing they are working on october 2012. And i havent yet recived NOA2.

its frustating now as some people are getting thier NOA2 in like 3 to 4 mths.

Wow!!!! I truly understand how you feel. We filed Aug 17 2012 and got our NOA2 on May 3rd. We thought it'd be processed quickly BUT someone somehow lost our packet btw CIS-NVC. By the time it was 'discovered' (after we contacted congressman for help), it was already June 11. Sigh.

I think we will go to NVC together -- hoping Atlanta doesn't take too long to send our files to NVC!

Hey :)

well, I am still waiting. So I have been in contact with my congressman and senator, the latest thing that happened was on June 17th, my case was transferred to my local city (Chicago). When the letter came a few days ago it said "That office will notify you when they schedule an interview on the application or petition."

ughhhhhhhhhh seriously? csc didn't want to deal with this case anymore and I just got passed off to another office. Worst part: I'm visiting my husband until end of august, so yesterday when we were at the consulate fixing our daughters passport I showed this paper and their response: "when you get your interview assigned get your ticket changed and go home, since you don't want/need anymore delays-you do NOT want to miss this interview " I even asked if I could get interviewed at the consulate and they said no :(

Hi Ally,

That's right. I remember reading last year when I was researching all this that you need to be interviewed if your spouse is a middle eastern man. Too bad it has taken them so long to get your packet to Chicago, but it least you know some progress has been made. Your case is moving to the next step. The whole thing may seem to take so long, but one day it will be over. I'm very happy you were able to go visit your husband!

Take care,

Treva

hello everyone!

Just dropping in to share that we got an interview date!

My husband requested for an expedite and we were granted, so yesterday I spoke to a staff at the US Embassy here in Malaysia and she gave me Aug 1 as our tentative interview date.

Hope everyone's case is chugging along! We should all be done by now, it's almost August. It's crazy how long these processes take!
