Hi there guys!

Me and my fiance are working on putting together our I-129F package and I had an idea for the photos to submit.

Since all our photos are digital and I will have to get them printed, I was thinking of creating pages with the photos on them and stories behind the photos (from trips we took, dates, etc). To tie in the story of our relationship with the proof (maybe scan in some ticket stubs too).

Almost scrapbook like.

Anyone else ever do this? Does it seem quite silly?

I can't tell if the photos with writing on the back is a mandate or just what people have done.

Thanks!

I made collages with Picasa and simply edited them to add references such as: Celeste and C @ Iguazu Falls, Argentina - Aug 2010

Don't go crazy into the story though, they don't care about that; they simply need to be able to establish that the two of you have been face to face, at the same time and space at least once in the past to years.

For this, you present evidence to establish time first (passport stamps, boarding passes, hotel receipts, ATM transactions) and then you BACK UP that first evidence with pictures and anything else you want (which is why this is secondary evidence).

Makes sense?

OOh, yes. That sounds even better. I have about 8 pictures from the time we first met in 2010 to living together in 2011 (in NZ) with trips to Australia and me leaving NZ in 2012. I figure that would help be proof enough.

How many pictures is normal for everyone else?

For the petition, I made a collage of 6 pictures: some in Argentina, some in the US, some from other travels.

We supplied that collage, along with a copy of his entire passport with the stamps and a sort of VISA Argentina makes USCs pay for.

That's it.

Some countries seem to require front loading, but NZ isn't one of them.

If you want to add more things, you are welcome to do it... it's up to you.

EDIT: I just looked at my original packet and we also submitted ONE screenshot from Gmail with the chat/email iteration too.

Don't focus too much on photos. They want to see passport stamps, boarding passes and receipts showing you used your credit, debit or ATM card in the country you were visiting at that time. Photos from those visits help back up that primary evidence. You just need to put the place taken, date and who is in the photos on the back or in a caption under the pictures if you print some out on paper instead. Just pick the best few you have. Ones in front of landmarks and together with each others friends and family are good choices.

Yeah, what Jay-kay said.

Photos are only supporting your intial/primary evidence.

Quite simple and neat looking is printing out 4 pictures on a normal sized page, add handwritten(or done via editing) dates and location. It's easy for you and more importantly, it's easy for anybody looking at it to see it right away without having to read a whole love story under each picture.

If there are more than the 2 of you in the picture, you're free to add the names/relation to you under the picture as well.
