Today I rcvd notice that USCIS has approved our I-129F Petition for my wife and was put in the mail today August 20, 2012.

I am excited to see what is next to come. I believe that the I-864 is next for me to complete along with other information to complete and then all of this to her in Morocco so she can have an interview at the American Consulate there.

I had completed all of the paperwork and procedures without an Immigration Lawyer for the I-130 and I-129F but now I am thinking to hire one.

Why are you considering that now? Is there a specific issue that you anticipate will come up that will need their assistance?

Please fill in your timeline, and do some reading on VJ. It is 99.9% likely your K3 will be closed at the next (NVC) stage and you will be going for a CR-1 spousal visa.

You don't need a lawyer. You will have to collect all the documents yourself, and all the lawyer will do is mail them and take all your money. Many of us have done it ourselves with advice from right here on Visa Journey.

No, I'm not anticipating anything to come up unexpected.

Well, I believed myself to be smart enough to complete the Petitions by myself as they were basically self-explainatory. Now that the I-129F has actually been approved I'm just getting nervious and don't want anything to go wrong at this point. She has been waiting a long time for this and so have I.

That is why I thought about bring a lawyer onboard now but I know it is too late in the game for that. I just wanted to have no mistakes at such a critical stage. She'd kill me if I messed up her turn to do the leg work. hhhh

And yes I have heard about the K-3 becoming obsolete. Thanks everyone.

Hey everyone. I just wanted you all to know that my wife and I are no longer with the K-3 Visa. We have been changed to the CR-1 Spousal Visa. See you there.

Thanks everyone
